A ray of hope will shine
Beams from God’s mercy, kind
When darkness covers your world
A ray of hope unfurls

Sometimes I feel so sad
When all the trials I’ve had
Seemingly feed the pain,
Bringing dark clouds, scattering rain
But when the sun won’t shine
I’ll try to keep in mind
This thought to help me to cope:
God sends a ray of hope
I’ve learned to kneel in prayer
Leaving my burdens there
I have no doubt or fears
That God will dry, all my tears
And though the night is long
I know I’ll carry on
No more in darkness to grope
God is my Ray of Hope
